I was given The Blue Chair Jam Cookbook for a Christmas gift, and tried out the rhubarb jam recipe a few weeks ago. Just plain old rhubarb. It’s really remarkable. Normally I go for strawberry rhubarb, but after tasting this, I realized my favorite part of the strawberry rhubarb, is actually the rhubarb! This was a smashing success – super easy to make, very delicious, and I even ended up getting a bit more jam than was anticipated – eight 8 oz jars. Plenty for us and a few giveaways too. I have a feeling that our loved ones will be receiving more gifts of jam – I am keen to try more recipes from the book as the fruits become available locally.
